SANREMO BEAUTY

Sanremo, home to the best cycling in Italy

Sanremo is situated in the Western edge of Liguria; a coastal region in the North West of Italy and home to some of the best cycling in Europe. Most importantly it has almost a micro climate of it's own and boasts on average 2,570 hours of sunshine annually, ranging from 4.5 hours of sunshine per day in January to 10.5 in July... and that's sunshine, not just daylight!

Sanremo and sits just 30 km east of Monaco and 50 km east of Nice making it one of the most up-and-coming places to visit. Better yet, it’s still relatively undiscovered by UK tourism and retains it’s natural beauty and wealth of local history and of course, cheap flights from most UK airports- starting at £20 return from the UK with easyjet or ryanair.

The Ligurian region is fast becoming a cycling paradise- and is already an well established training ground for the pro pelaton riders. The coastal roads and famous Milano - Sanremo classic 1 day event, attract the big headlines but the whole of Liguria boasts a wide array of epic challenges away from the crowds. If you like the peace and quiet of the winding roads, we've tested some epic routes for you in Liguria, starting and ending in Sanremo. Not forgetting the easy access to the French Cote d'Azure region as well.
