You don't have to be an avid cyclist to enojoy cycling along the Italian Riviera!
Apart from being known as the city of flowers, Sanremo has a rich cycling history and in 2001 a new railway line was built leaving the old track to be turned into a cycle path. It first opened in 2008, with an extension in 2009 to and then in 2023 an additional few kilometers were added to reach all the way to Impreia, the other end being Ospedaletti. That's an impressive 27km each way!! Although there is no need to cover the full length to experience the pleasures it has to offer.
For this one, we make no secret that there are plenty of places renting city bikes, carts, tadems etc which are very easily accessible. We include the rental cost of a basic city bike in your booking. Although you can upgrade to an electric city bike for a small surcharge or switch to a tadem or even a 4 or 6 person cart - we'll adjust the price accordingly.
So why book through us? Well, there's no pressure to do so but we will:
- Take you on an accompanied ride along the cycle path, explain some of the interesting local history along the way
- Take detours from the main path into the villages that you would normally bypass and see the most interesting parts
- Find some lovely beaches and a swim or a paddle (season dependent)
- Stop at the best cafes, bars and eateries, *arranging a gourmet tasting menu for an additional €40
- Respond promptly to any queries and enquiries, bridging the language barrier if this is an issue!
- Pre book your bike of choice, collect it with you, check it's set up for you correctly and if there's any issues along the way, make it right
- Offer discounts on bookings of more than three people
- Fill you full of advice, recommendations and ideas on how to spend the rest of your time in Sanremo, even helping with restaurant/ other activity bookings if needed
